The new patient wrangler?

A new patient came from a nearby office from which I already had two patients. I took my time, cleaned her teeth  and explained all of her problems. I made some suggestions and gave her some oral hygiene instruction. Since that visit she has sent three patients in the month following her initial visit. She even escorted some of them to my office. Wow, I am impressed!

Now it's not that unusual for me to make " good first impression" but it is unusual to find a new patient who enthusiastically wants to  refer friends and collogues. Most dental practices do have a few patients who are "champion" referrers and they should be appreciated. I never offer "incentives" for patient referrals, but I am appreciative. When my patients care to share my practice with their friends, I am honored and grateful.

When my patient wrangler asked me for a second sample of the Opalescence Go trays I sometimes give out, I told her she could have the whole box, with my compliments. Now if I could just figure out away to clone her, I might have to find more days in the week to work!
